The practice of yoga is a way to connect mind and body, and it is an opportunity to concentrate undivided attention into our inner selves. The combination of these elements creates opportunities for us to witness our true essence. Once that happens, we are able to create new possibilities in our lives.
Vinyasa Yoga provides a fluid way of movement in the body. There is equal attention given to the asanas (postures), transitions between postures, as well as the coordination between breath and movement. Teaching yoga since 2003, Mariana's background in dance and expressive movement, together with her extensive training in yoga, bring unique characteristics to her classes. It is possible to experience the discipline of physical alignment together with the sense of freedom that comes from moving the body. Using the intention of aligning the physical body, breathing and movement as its main tools, Vinyasa Yoga enables the practitioner to free up possible obstructed channels of energy running through the body. It is common that one of the sensations that arise is one we greet with open arms: the feeling of relaxation.
